Because comprehensive access to vaccines is an essential building block that leads out of the current pandemic and can prevent further waves of infection in the future.

Lead by the Vaccine Alliance Gavi, the WHO and the research alliance CEPI join governments, global health organizations, manufacturers, Scientists and private initiatives worldwide come together to jointly buy vaccines and distribute them fairly as part of the COVAX initiative (Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access). The global initiative was launched in February 2021 by the World Health Organization (WHO) and partner companies.
